Certificate in Commercial Cleaning

This nationally recognised qualification combines step-by-step training with competency assessments to become a certified professional commercial cleaner.
The programme starts with the essentials: foundational Health and Safety principles (Units 1, 2, and 3) and the six core cleaning skills every commercial cleaner needs to master.
This is followed by practical, on-site assessment, where you’ll demonstrate your ability to confidently handle cleaning tasks to industry standards. You’ll be evaluated on your technical skills across different cleaning situations, your understanding of safe work practices, correct use and handling of equipment and chemicals, quality control, and professional behaviour.
Throughout the process, you’ll receive clear, helpful feedback so any areas for improvement are addressed before you finish. Once you successfully complete the programme, you’ll earn the Certificate in Commercial Cleaning. This recognised credential validates your professional skills, builds trust with customers, and sets you up as a qualified professional ready to deliver a reliable, high-quality cleaning service.
This qualification highlights the Master Cleaners Training Institute’s commitment to raising the standards for New Zealand’s commercial cleaning industry.
