The Master Cleaners Training Institute offers structured training programmes for people working in the cleaning industry.
Our programmes provide training and assessment for a wide range of practical cleaning skills, preparing and up skilling people to achieve an internationally accredited standard.
Certificate in Commercial Cleaning (CCC)
In 2016, Master Cleaners Training Institute introduced the Certificate in Commercial Cleaning (CCC); a training and assessment programme specifically designed to meet the commercial cleaning industry business needs in New Zealand (A Licence to Clean).
The CCC qualification includes three mandatory units and a minimum number of 6 Core Tasks designed to ensure the safety of the cleaning operatives, users of the building and the sustainability of the building.

The Master Cleaners Training Institute offers courses that have relevance for our local conditions and industry. These courses can be adapted to become ‘site specific’ i.e. structured to be directly relevant to the actual cleaners workplace.

Healthcare Training
The Master Cleaners Training Institute sets the benchmark for healthcare cleaning in New Zealand. Healthcare cleaning training content is developed in consultation with Francie Morgan, an IPC Nurse Educator.
Certificate in Healthcare Cleaning
The Certificate in Healthcare Cleaning is mandatory for all CrestClean Healthcare personnel working in healthcare environments. This advanced qualification is based on the South Australian Cleaning Standard for Healthcare Facilities 2021 and covers key areas of healthcare cleaning.
The Certificate in Healthcare Cleaning combines theoretical and practical training at healthcare sites across the country. Training meets the NZS 8134:2021 Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Standard (Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services).
Online Healthcare Cleaning Module
The Online Healthcare Cleaning Module is designed to deepen understanding of Infection Protection and Control, cross-contamination prevention, and specialised cleaning protocols essential to healthcare facilities. As a part of CrestClean Healthcare’s HealthClean™ system, it ensures personnel are trained to meet the highest evidence-based standards in healthcare cleaning.
